Our Classes Are a Fun Place to Learn!


FALL 2025: Join us for our 8-week sessions starting the week of Sept 22  in Grass Valley and Auburn.

MIXED AGE CLASSES:
Join us for 8 weekly classes for you and your child, age infant to 5! Classes include finger plays, songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. Our classes are part of an international, 30+ year old, respected research-based program. Each session is play-based, fun, and offers you a great opportunity to be silly, play with your child, and strengthen your bond with each other while making music and making new friends in the community. Your class fee includes semester materials, including a beautifully illustrated songbook, a CD and download code with all of the music for the semester, plus a parent guide for new families with more information on the research behind the program. 

TUITION FALL 2025: For the 8-week session: $175 for the first child, $110 for each additional sibling. New families pay an additional one-time $15 registration fee. Your class fee includes a NEW songbook and music collection each semester as well as access to the Music Together app.

Class Descriptions
Mixed Ages

This is the essential Music Together class, one that a child can attend from birth through age five, with nine song collections. This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. 

 Rhythm Kids

Rhythm Kids follows through on the Music Together vision to help children complete the pathway of early childhood music development from birth through age 8. Rhythm Kids is an 8-week session of exciting music, movement, and drumming, where children integrate and assimilate rhythm into their lives, as they:

  • Learn, create, discover and explore music, movement and drumming.
  • Enjoy age-appropriate ways to play rhythm instruments (shakers, tambourines, etc.)
  • Explore traditional drumming patterns through animal names and movements
  • Experience drumming, song and dance from around the world (Mali, Puerto Rico, Turkey, etc.)
  • Find new ways to connect mind, body, and voice through rhythm.
  • Develop skill in improvising, soloing, conducting, composition, and improvisation
  • Participate in active musical games that are both enriching and totally fun!
